Blame thyself!

Elected Leaders don't lead, they are to be led!

As the financial debacle unravels, the alleged rescue plans penned out by elected officials are morphine-nizing, morally corrupt and carry long term damages.

Not to be fooled by tantalizing economic theories the economists themselves are not convinced, to create prosperity by propping up economic collapse caused by debt with more debt is at odds with common sense. Instead of borrowing from the future, why can't anyone have the courage to say the plain truth:

- Globalization leverages political economic advantages of nations to the maximum. It brings about great disparity. Shocked working class in the developed countries suddenly found themselves uncompetitive. Happily, politicians sooth the paradox by allowing the mirage of borrowed wealth enabled by Wall Street's inflationary magic of the housing bubble. Gradual de-regulation of the financial regime was politically motivated. The mass intoxicate in the virtual riches. From Ireland to California, life has been good. When reality hits, should we blame the Wall Street or ourselves?

- We binge on consumerism and we have overextended; the debt is due and should be paid off now. It’s time for severe austerity.

- Easing the pain now by creating greater bubble is a selfish act of damage deference. To spend humongous sum of public money means assuming greater debt, and passing more pain to the generations that follow.

- While we consume indiscriminately, we directly or indirectly inflict great environmental damages and hasten the demise of billions of labors worldwide. Who is accountable? Aren’t people who stole the benefits of cheap labor and cheap goods ultimately had to pay?!

- Even if the general Euro-American living standard is reduced by 30%; life is still comfortable by comparison. Driving a sub-compact instead of a SUV, living in an apartment unit instead of a suburban single house, no TV, less NBA, less movie, less games, less eat-out … WHAT HARDSHIP ???

Yet who is to lead the supposedly “civilized” populace of the developed world to meet the challenge!

Not elected politicians, even less BO!?
